My camara has been on the fritz here lately. I need to get a new one. That's why I haven't posted in a while. So too catch you up, we have wrapped up two seasons of rodeo. Legacy and UYRA. YEA!!! It feels good to get a little break. Wyatt and Ty both did AWSOME!!! Ty is back on a horse. He is doing the poles, barrels and calf tie. He is doing so DANG good on our horse Buck. Last rodeo he shaved 20 seconds off his barrel run. He also took 2nd year end in the calf tie at Legacy. Wyatt has become a pro rough stock rider. He can ride the calfs hide off. He is also an amazing little roper. He dominates the poles. He is really getting good at calf tie also. We are getting ready to go to the NFR in Las Vegas. VIVA LAS VEGAS!!! We leave on the 4th of Dec. and will be back on the 12th of Dec. I hope I will have a new camara by then if so I will post for sure. Cody has started roping again. Last month he won a Z.D. roping. He won a saddle and $1000.00. It was AWSOME!!! We are so proud of him for that I actually have a picture of his saddle I will post it.

Wyatt and Ty being silly

Wyatt and Ty wanted to get a mohawk haircut.
This is their mohawks, they lasted for an amazing
5 mins. Then they were cut off. It was sure a fun
5 mins. for the two of them though.

We took a weekender to Jackson Hole. This little getaway was soooo needed by all of us. We really had a great time. Wyatt and Ty got to ride the Alpine Slides all by their selves (this year they both met the age requirement). And the swimming was by far the highlight of the trip. We had a great time. We love Jackson Hole. The shopping is amazing, the food is wonderful and there is all ways tons and tons of fun. One of our favorite restaurant's is Mary Piglets they have the best Mexican food. We stayed at the Jackson Hole Lodge, Wyatt and Ty think their pool is the best in town.

Wyatt had an amazing UYRA finals rodeo. He placed 3rd in the calf riding and won a check for $62.00. He took 9th in the calf tie and won the pole bending for a winning check of $119.00. It was a great night. In the year end he took 1st over all in the pole bending and won an amazing Dale Chavez belt buckle, and a gear bag embroidered with his name and event. In calf riding he placed 8th over all and won a duffel bag, and in the calf tie he placed 9th over all and won a polar fleece horse blanket. GREAT JOB Wyatt!!!

A great big thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Christensen for coming to the Logan rodeo. Support is always a welcome part of rodeo!!!

These are my super cute cowboys at the July 24th rodeo in Logan. Wyatt rode 8-9 calves he ate dirt, 10-11 steers he took 4th, 12-14 mini bulls he took 5th. He took 3rd in breakaway and won a lead rope and horse brush. Cody and Wyatt team roped, Wyatt set a wonderful heel loop, but just barely missed his dally. They took a no time. His final event was pole bending, he took first and won a really neat belt buckle. Ty did the stick barrels, they weren't timing but in my book he was 1st all the way. He also did the dummy roping, he always throws a nasty knot. We have had 7 rodeos in July. Wyatt is the proud owner of 4 new belt buckles, trophies, a lead rope, a horse brush, about $450 cash and lots of great memories. Ty has won 1 belt buck, candy, about $100 and lots of great memories. We love July Rodeos!!! We have been to Cokeville, Kemmerer, Logan, Ogden, Farmington, West Haven and Henefer. It has been so much fun. Wyatt qualified for the Utah Youth Finals Rodeo. It is on Aug. 7th at 5:30 pm at the Weber Co. Fair. They only take the top ten in each event. The kids have 1 rodeo a month for a total of 10 rodeos to qualify. They compete against approx. 20-25 kids in each event in each age group. Wyatt is in the 8-11 age group, so the fact that he even qualified is a huge accomplishment. It is really hard to beat the older kids in the age groups, they have a few years experience on the younger kids. Ty has chosen not to compete in the Utah Youth series. He is still competing in the Legacy series though. He is thinking he might want to try competitive Base Ball next year. If you look at the very bottom of this page you can see our latest rodeo pictures of Wyatt and Ty.
We went camping this weekend, for the 1st time this year. Ty, forever the comedian got a bloody nose. His solution to the problem was this big wad of paper towels. We laughed so hard at this. We love to ride the horses up there. We saw a rattle snake (dead this time thank heavens), a moose, lots of deer and the kids favorite baby ducks. Wyatt and Ty went swimming at the beaver dams. We had so much fun. We usually go camping at least 3 out of 4 weekends in the summer. But this year rodeo has over taken our lives. Not that we're complaining we love that too. But it was nice just to get away and relax.

Saturday June 28th Garet, Sharee, Easton, Mason, Me, Wyatt and Ty went to Grandpa and Grandma Dixon's for dinner and some way fun fishing. We had a great time, grandpa helped the kids get worms. First they used the back hoe to dig but they didn't find any that way so they ended up getting them the old fashioned way by digging them up by hand. We went to the river. Wyatt was the only one to actually catch a fish. The rest of us caught a lot of FUN!!!

Another Unfortunate for Ty

This story is a little bit of a stomach turner. The last few days Ty's
been complaining about his finger hurting. He bits his nails so I
just thought he had chewed one down a bit too far. Today I really took
a good look at it and the tip of his finger was huge and all white.
It looked like it had died. I panicked and took him to the
doctor. The doctor had to stick this huge syringe in his
finger to drain it and test the fluid to see what was wrong
with it. Come to find out he has herpies in his finger tip.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
Don't bite your finger nails, just take Ty's
word for it.

Ty and his accidents

This is kind of a cute and funny story. In the 2nd to the last week of school Ty got off the bus just sobbing. Wyatt was home with me, he had just had his tonsils out. When I seen Ty I was shocked, he had a swollen, cut and bruised up eye. I asked him what happened and this is the story that followed. Ty said "I was running to catch the bus and this stupid girl with her bike just got right in my way and I hit my face on her bike." I asked him how in the world it was that he couldn't see the girl and the bike? Something that big is kind of hard to miss. He said "I was running with my head down, she should have been watching." So I then asked what happened to her? He replied "nothing she didn't even fall." Now for those of you that know Ty, know that everything in the world happens to him. Poles jump out in front of him, cracks in the cement automatically jump up and trip him, everything that possibly could fall on him does, and animals have a tendency to run him over. After the pain went away we laughed a little at the fact that the stupid girl who "wasn't watching" didn't even fall down.

Wyatt and Ty got these shot guns for Christmas. Santa brought them with out telling mom a word about it. But I'm over it they love them and have so much fun with them. And I guess I'm glad that their learning gun safety at such a young age. I hate guns, I'm scared to death of them.

Wyatt baseball 2008

This is Wyatt warming up before his first
big game this year. He is really a good
player, he plays short stop and can
hit the ball like a pro.

Ty baseball 2008

Ty is on a team called the Silver Bullets. He absolutely
loves playing. He's really good too. He plays first base
and short stop. In this game he hit the ball right
out of the little ball park.
